I’ll admit it: I was born with ink in my veins. And a lot of that is RED ink. Call me quirky, but I really like to edit academic papers. Currently, I work with a few doctoral students from Neumann University and Arcadia University to develop and edit dissertations. Here’s what a few of my former clients have said:
I have found Linda to be an incredible writer, who just seems to have a gift for knowing what to say and how to say it. She has helped me with editing my dissertation as well as give me suggestions for another writing project I am currently working on completing. I not only found Linda to be very good at the editing process but also during the process she was encouraging and insightful when I felt that I was not making progress or feeling overwhelmed. I would highly recommend Linda for any writing project you are undertaking without any hesitation.

Throughout the years, I have used Linda to edit master’s level papers for me. She has a strong understanding of grammar and a keen eye for clarity. I always appreciate her quick turnaround time, too. Most recently, I used Linda to review and edit a resume. Again, the turnaround time was fast and Linda’s attention to detail was excellent. I recommend Linda for proofreading and editing without hesitation.

I’ve used Linda as an editor and proofreader for the first three chapters of my memoir. She has an excellent command of grammar and the English language. Linda is very thorough in her work and provides prompt service. She provided help with word choices for clarification to make my writing flow better without compromising my voice. I sent these to a writing contest as an unpublished manuscript to The Word Guild in Canada and won placement in the Short List with three other contestants. I highly recommend Linda for any editing or proofreading needs.

Currently, I can only take on four clients a semester but once I retire? I expect I’ll be pretty busy!
What’s a quirky or unusual talent you have that you could use in your own retirement?
You have your retirement 'job' waiting for you - without the inconvience of travel! Working from home at your own pace. I'm sure you are looking forward to that - with red ink and all! 😉
I enjoy delivering eulogies. I’ve done quite a few, mostly family. Now, that’s quirky.
