100 Reasons I'm Retiring

You probably know this by now, but I LOVE to write. Just as I spent my teaching years working on my craft as a teacher, now I want to devote more of my time to honing my talent as a writer. At the moment, my time to join writing classes is limited. The landscape of authorship has changed much in the last decade! Here are just a few things that make this a good time to embrace writing as a career:

1. The self-publishing and digital publishing boom

2. Renewed push for reading and book buying

3. Increased call for books for young readers

4. Opportunities for independent authors on Amazon and other platforms

5. The increased role of the author in marketing

   

I’m going to give a shout-out here to one of my favorite groups for writing and publishing workshops at a reasonable price. I’ve been with Flourish Writers since 2019 and can’t say enough about how they have helped me grow as a writer!
