Not the E.T. out os space kind, but the kind every knitter has hidden at the bottom of her knitting basket: Unfinished Objects. Currently, there are two—that I’ll admit to—lingering in the abyss.
This is the Finch Ruffle Shawl, wonderful at using up bits and pieces of mohair, but very fiddly to make due to the ruffle which is, of course, its charm.
And this is the Vertical Ridge Cardigan, begun when I splurged on a little took much yarn at a sale. (Question: Can you ever have too much yarn?)
I’m certain both of these would love to be off the needles and cycled into my own—or someone else’s—wardrobe!
What’s a compelling reason you would have for retiring or changing things up?
Knitting...yes! Last spring, I went to a yarn show with my sister (who is a HUGE knitter, dyes her own yarn, etc), and I might have splurged just a little too, and those skeins are still waiting to become something. I can relate!
Both are beautiful pieces. Love the colors. Retirement gives me more opportunities to be with family, take better care of myself, write, and take an active role in church ministries.
