Linda, I taught at West Catholic Girls for 15 years - West Prep is the former girls school. My room was 208! It was warm. I've been reading Quirky for a while. My son, John, is on the spectrum and is 40 yrs. old. It's been quite the journey. He lives independently now and is a college graduate.
He suffered thru hair cuts for a long time. Even though my father was a barber it was always hard since the clipper noise scared him and his sensory issues made it hard for him to sit still. He's come a long way. Now he gets his own hair cuts and keep his hair really short.
Thanks for sharing your experiences. I was a single Mom from the time my boys were 9 and 4.
What a coincidence! Room 208 is now the Ministry Room. Thank you for being a loyal reader to Quirky. I like to share my experiences with my adult autistic son since there is so little in the literature. I'm having fun with my "100 Reasons" and my Allen stories, but I am most looking forward to revising the memoir I wrote about Allen's quest to find his father. I hope you will continue to read and share my stories with others since an audience will be vital to gaining interest from a publisher.
Good morning,
January is my birth month also. 🤪
Are you also always cold?
