I loved to create things with beautiful colors, too. I did more crotcheting than knitting as I lived in the tropics. Sadly, that is past tense due to arthritic hands. I still collect colors - pens, pencils, whatever I can find.

I am glad you can still enjoy the colors of the world, Lisa. God has given us so much beauty, even in simple things like pencils.

I too have been a knitter and loved yarn, even spun my own for a while. I actually knit for 50 years, starting at the age of 7 or 8 being taught by my mother and grandmother. I wore out my thumb joint making many sweaters, blankets and shawls over those years. Don't you just love the feel of yarn?

Ah, Judy, you speak to my heart! My grandmother taught me to knit when I was nine. The skill has served me well. During the years my husband was often hospitalized, my knitting bag not only kept me from going bonkers, but often sparked conversations with others in the waiting rooms. I find knitting to be meditative! I wrote the article about how knitting sparked a conversation outside Temple University Hospital. Thanks so much for reading and commenting!

My plan is to provide kids at a community center with hats and scarves next winter!

I would imagine you could probably do workshops for either kids or adults (like me) who know nothing of your skill.
