Grief is a long-slow process, never quite leaving or saying goodbye. It leaves scars that laden with beautiful memories and pain of loss. All I say is be gentle with yourself. Acknowledge it, recognise it, sit down and honor it. For it is the human condition. We blessed (can cursed) with long memories. Writing and sharing is a good strategy. Helps you, and helps others too.
PS: Take the break when you need to- Your readers will understand.
Thank you, Charu. I am actually thinking of reviewing my "100 Reasons I'm Retiring" posts and doing a short one every other week of what happened to that particular reason. I haven't accomplished many of them. Yet. Did you enjoy the games in Paris?
Good idea. But as I said, take the well needed rest. Oh, I was not in Paris this year. The pic is from 2022. The whole thing just coincided with the games and I let it be, since Paris was in the news. Cities are always misread I think. Twain said, “America is New York, New Orleans, and San Francisco. Everywhere else is Cleveland.” I think --though funny, its a bit simplistic. I think all cities are a bit of everything. That is what makes them cities, --works in progress. Continue to write, but not without rest.
Thank you, Charu. It's been a challenging summer, and I am trying to be gentle with myself and the losses that seem to pile up, large and small. Writing and knitting are my go-tos for solace!

There are no rules about what and how we grieve and no timeline for going through it. Sending love as you navigate this season.
Thank you, Linda. And thank you for being a new subscriber! My tribe grows slowly, but I am always happy when my words have reached someone.
