Thanks for the distinction, Sharon. It is an important difference, the knowledge that it is not a particular event that should prompt our gratitude, but the knowledge that God is in control no matter what. He works all things together for good, even when we do not see it.

The Bible never says to "be thankful FOR all things" but to "be thankful IN all things" - the difference of which you explained above. Just saying :-)
